Firefox Support
During initial developments of this blog, I have encountered several compatibility issues with various browsers but Firefox. The blog features seem to just snap right in with Firefox, but other browsers simply refuse to work.
I have attempted debugging but not to much success. Therefore, I have chosen to reduce complexity and instead disable the features altogether in other browsers but Firefox. This is done with a simple browser userAgent check, through Javascript or PHP methods where necessary. userAgent checks can easily be fooled, although I believe 99% of all web users would not alter their browser’s userAgent for most of the time.
Experience the web as it is meant to be! Millions of Internet users around the world simply do not understand why Firefox is different from Internet Explorer or Safari, and quite possibly aren’t even aware that the web browser is a choice to make.
Why Firefox?
Firefox is the safest way to use the internet. Every single line of code is open-source: bugs and vulnerabilities are identified, acknowledged and fixed more quickly than the competition. If a critical bug is discovered, it is made public so it can be fixed as soon as possible. Firefox comes with a plethora of anti-phising and anti-malware features, with one-click site ID, spyware protection and automatic security updates to keep you ahead of the bad guys.
Firefox has the most ways to customize your online experience specifically for the way you use the web. The browser isn’t just a static window to the internet; it’s a part of the internet itself. That is why Firefox is developed with the mindset that one size doesn’t fit all. You are just two clicks away from thousands of Firefox add-ons that matters most to you.
Firefox is 100% organic software – it stands for openness, innovation and freedom on the internet. Open source means a better browser for the 200 million regular Firefox users. Firefox was created by an international movement of hundreds of thousands of people from wildly different backgrounds, all seeking to develop the world’s best browser.
